“That’s not fair!”
Madeline couldn’t count how many times she had said that in the past hour. Her parents, Alice and Francis were for forbidding her from seeing the girl she thought she loved. They told her over and over that Americans couldn’t be trusted, but Madeline, who was Canadian, kept denying it. She didn’t understand, why couldn’t she be with Emily? She trusted her with all her heart, and didn’t doubt her at all.
Emily wouldn’t hurt me..she wouldn’t. She loves me too.
After a final ‘You can’t see her and that’s that.’ Madeline ran up to her room, slamming the door and sobbing. Who were they to say who she could and couldn’t date!? She could here her parents going to bed. Good. She changed into some red and black lingerie she had, awaiting Emily. They had been meeting like this for a while…Now when would be the day they’d run? She layed on her bed, window open, and ate the caramel sitting in a bowl on the silk sheets of her bed.“Hi Iggy…”
She was a sobbing mess. No matter how hard she tried to hold her tears in, they kept on coming, making her eyes red and puffy. It was hard. No matter how hard she tried to forget him, it never worked.
She took off her bomber jacket and grabbed something inside one of the pockets.
A Rose.
“You always liked roses Iggy…”
Leaving the rose on the grave, Emily stood up and walked out of the cemetery. She looked up at the sky and took a deep breathe, “Well Emily, let’s go see Maddie.”
It wasn’t right, Emily clearly knew that. She knew that using Maddie as a replacement to Arthur was wrong. Mostly because Maddie was not Arthur.
Arthur, her lost love, the man that called Emily ‘Juliet’ since their love was forbidden, yet they managed to spend time together. That didn’t work out well in the end.
Shaking those thoughts away, Emily ran to her house in full speed, hurrying since she didn’t want Madeline to wait too long.
‘Wait ten minutes and I’ll be there! <3’ She sent send as soon as she reached her house, already taking off her clothes.
Hearing her phone buzz, Madeline grabbed it, brushing her hair down from its usual pigtails. She read the text, sending Emily one back. ‘I’ll be waiting ;).’
Spraying herself with some perfume, Madeline walked over to her bathroom and put some lip gloss on, if they were going to be kissing, she wanted to taste good. She thought again about how much she loved Emily, looking around her bathroom. Something caught the Canadian’s eye. A ring her father had once given her. That was it.
Madeline walked over and grabbed it, thinking to herself. If her parents wouldn’t let her be with Emily…she’d just ask her to runaway with her. And then marry her.
The tall girl went back to her bed, laying down and sighing. She hoped Emily would be here soon.Emily began looking through her underwear, throwing it all around her room as she desperately tried to find her favorite lingerie.
“Aha~ There you are~!” She threw the lingerie on her bed, taking off her shirt, then her jeans, and finally her bra and underwear. She turned to her bed and picked the article of clothing on, staring at it for a long time she gave a nervous laughed.
‘He would have liked this..’
Shaking that thought away, she began putting the lingerie on. It was her routine for weeks now, and yet she was still unused to it.
“Seem’s everythin’ is rea…” She stared at a necklace for a moment, “…forgot my necklace.” She gave a nervous laugh as she grabbed it and put it on. Looking at herself in the mirror, she gave the biggest smile, the biggest fake smile.
“Night.” Emily put on her bomber jacket and zipped it up, making sure you couldn’t see anything but her legs.
“Let’s go to Maddie’s~!” She grinned as she walked out of her house and onto the street, heading towards Madeline’s home.
Black bustier. Black thong. It was all too familiar to Madeline now, in defiance of her parents. She had anything ready, dimming her lights and lighting some candles. She had roses in a vase next to her bed, the scent over powering her room.
The perfume she had put on had sparkles in it, making Maddie sparkle whenever she moved from the light hitting her skin. In the corner of her room sat a bag, with some stuff in it that Madeline had packed, in hoping Emily would runaway with her. The dark red room was silent, until the Canadian heard a sound.
She turned to her window, seeing Emily pull herself up. She quickly ran over, helping the other girl up into her room, smiling at her.
“That’s not fair!”
